Upperdog-brithday-cakeFebruary 13th may be unlucky for some, but not for the Upperdog team!

We are celebrating our second year of business! So many amazing things have happened over the last 12 months that have made us bigger and better as a digital marketing agency. Our global client list has grown and we’ve said hello to couple of new faces. So without further ado, here is Upperdog’s second year of success. Happy Birthday to us!

Google Partner Qualified

In March 2014 we were made an official Google Partner, which means that we met Google’s incredibly strict criteria. We proved ourselves as a trusted digital marketing agency that provides the highest quality of service – a brilliant achievement for us and our clients!

Shortlisted at the Natwest Venus Awards

In June Upperdog reached the finals of the Natwest Dorset Venus Awards, which acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of women in business. We got down to the final 3 out of 30 in the “New Business” category and had a brilliant team night at the awards ceremony, which was held at the Lighthouse in Poole.

Two members of the Upperdog Pack became AdWords Certified

Top Dog Zhara and Marketing Pack Leader Annabel passed their Google AdWords accreditations again, which means that they’re still experts in both the basic and advanced aspects of Google AdWords! These exams aren’t easy so it’s a great achievement to have had two of the pack pass with flying colours.

Our pack is growing!

This year we welcomed two new members to the pack: Colin and Daphne!

Daphne is our Digital Marketing pup who started in July. She is a final year PR student at Bournemouth University and is a dab hand at copywriting and knowing many things. Her favourite sentences are: “Did you know…?” and “Did you hear about…?”

Master of all things WordPress and lover of all things aquatic, Colin is our expert Web Developer who is the proud owner of a saltwater aquarium! His collection includes a yellow tailed damselfish, a humbug damselfish, a goby and a green emerald crab.

We moved kennels

Yes, Upperdog has picked up sticks from the Enterprise Pavilion and moved to The Factory Studios – a hub for talented creatives in Bournemouth. Even though we moved on Halloween, the experience has been far from scary! We’ve moved to a larger office to accommodate our expansion in staff – with another member in the pipeline!

Marketing Pack Leader Annabel is now full-time

She couldn’t keep away and now Annabel is officially our full time Digital Account Director and Marketing Pack Leader– Hurray! Since Annabel’s transition to full-timeness last year, we’ve gained some great new clients and eaten a few more chocolates. What’s not to like?

Milo is now a full-time mascot

Upperdog mascot Milo Woods is now a permanent fixture in the office and frequently contributes with his many naps on the couch. When he’s not snoozing you can find him pottering between our desks and sunbathing by the window – oh to be a dog!

We’re still cool

Just because we’re older and wiser doesn’t mean we’ve lost what makes Upperdog great. We still have beer on Fridays and maybe wear a cheeky onesie on Wednesday. Most of all we still have a passion for all things digital and the drive to see our clients succeed, so Happy 2nd Birthday to us. We can’t wait for the next one!
