I’m surprised Bournemouth council hasn’t given them a fine for ‘littering’, as another digital aficionado joins the Upperdog pack!
I’m Jake, the new digital marketing intern at Upperdog. If you love football, beach days or BBQs, chances are we’d get along. I’m currently in my final year of University studying Marketing, so getting an internship with a digital marketing agency in Bournemouth ties in perfectly with my career and education.
During my placement year at University, I was fortunate enough to land a placement at a digital marketing agency in Málaga, Spain. In the beginning, I couldn’t speak a word of Spanish, nor did I know much about digital marketing. By the end of the 11-month placement, I’d developed skills in SEO services, content marketing and PPC management (and could order a beer in Spanish). But I wanted more.
After the interview stage, I received an e-mail from Upperdog saying I was going to be their new intern!
Exciting times were ahead, as I knew I would have 6 invaluable months working alongside a lovely bunch of digital professionals; exactly what I needed to further develop my digital skills and work with more fantastic clients.
My day-to-do role mainly involves writing bespoke content for a range of our clients, in order to improve SEO and allow their site to rank higher in SERPs for their target search queries. Dotted between this is giving the office pooch, Milo, some attention, or distracting him from the postman.
