A group of local businesses are raising money for local charities with a sponsored dog walk from Boscombe pier to Bournemouth pier and back on Saturday 26th October at 10am.
This 5k walk along the beach named the “Dogs Day Out” is the social event of the calendar that your four legged friend does not want to miss! All money raised will be split between the charities Waggy Tails and Autism Wessex. The walk is being sponsored by Poole based company Upperdog and there will be free coffee and a doggy goodie bag for all participants!
So dust off your dog’s winter wooly coat, dig out your ball thrower and head down to Boscombe beach to do your bit for local charities. To register your attendance please visit our charity events page or call 01202 853 642.
Waggy Tails Rescue is a local charity with a no destruction policy whereby no healthy animal is ever put to sleep, which means that as well as re-homing, dogs are also looked after in long term foster homes. Waggy Tails are hoping that the “Dogs Day Out” event will help contribute to foster homes and to the consistently high vets bills for the “oldies”!
Autism Wessex is the regional charity providing high quality specialist services for people affected by autism and associated difficulties across the counties of Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. Autism Wessex will put funds raised by the “Dogs Day Out” towards caring for local children with autism.
Upperdog is an digital marketing and web design and development agency. Founded and run by dog lovers, Upperdog has sponsored and arranged this event to raise awareness and show support for two aspirational local charities. Find out more about us or get in touch!
